You can define key bindings for most commands in DevOps Model RealTime so that you can invoke commonly used commands only using the keyboard.
Many commands already have a default key binding, but you can override these default key bindings with your own key bindings. One reason for overriding default key bindings could be that they are in conflict with key bindings defined by other plugins that you have installed in Model RealTime. Another reason might be that a default key binding is not easy to use on a particular keyboard layout.
Key bindings are defined on the preference page General - Keys. Search for commands using the filter text box and then define a key binding using the "Binding" field. Ensure that key bindings are not in conflict with each other, at least not in the same command scope (defined by the "When" drop-down menu). The most general command scope is "In Windows". This is the command scope you should use unless you want the key binding to apply only in a more specific context, such as when a particular view is active.
A few unusual commands have neither a default key binding nor any item in the Model RealTime user interface that can be used for invoking them. Such commands cannot be used unless you first define a key binding for them. An example is Find Capsule which is a convenience command for finding capsules using the Find NamedElement dialog.
You can use the command Help - Show Active Keybindings to get a list of all key bindings for commands that are active in a particular command scope. The help command is useful for learning what key bindings exist. This command is also useful as a shortcut for invoking the available commands.
