Model RealTime 12.1.6 is now available for download. Let's look at some of the highlights in this release.

Visual Indication of Documentation in the Properties View

It is easier now to check which of all model elements have associated documentation without clicking through every tab. The "Documentation" property tab now displays a ">" prefix whenever a comment related to documentation is available for a selected model element. This visual cue helps in streamlining the process of finding existing documentation in large models.

Port Full Warning

A new configuration setting for the TargetRTS, PORTFULL_WARNING, has been introduced to help catch port connectivity issues during execution. When this setting is enabled, a runtime warning is printed if you try to connect unwired ports in ways that violate their defined multiplicities.

Model Compiler Console Improvements

The build output has been reorganized to ensure that critical information remains accessible and visible. Errors and warnings are no longer printed on the Model Compiler console and are now routed exclusively to the UML Development console. This change prevents important build status data from scrolling away in the Model Compiler console, which has a fixed size and cannot be increased. You can still review the full history of errors and warnings in the UML Development console, where the output limit can be adjusted through Preferences → Run/Debug → Console → Limit console output.

Bookmark Improvements

The Bookmarks view has been enhanced to better handle references to elements that are no more available in the workspace. Bookmarks associated with deleted elements or elements from currently closed projects are now automatically removed, helping keep the view clean and relevant. Additionally, if navigation to a bookmark still fails for any reason, a dialog message is displayed informing that the element cannot be found and showing the missing element URI.
